Utah’s Tommy and Tammy Rasmussen had different opinions about FreeLife® when it was presented to them, but have since united into a successful team. Both have improved their health while building a successful Business. “I didn’t want to hear it,” begins Tommy, recalling his feeling when Enroller Brad Hicken reached out to them. “Brad is one of my best friends in the world, but I had previously been involved with direct selling and had nothing but bad experiences. I told Brad ‘no’ three times and on the last one I told him that speaking to me again about it would put our friendship at risk. While that probably wasn’t true, I wanted him to know how adamant I was.”
But Brad didn’t stop with Tommy. “He called me the next day and I was interested immediately,” recalls Tammy with a laugh. “I knew we could use some extra income, so I agreed to hear him out. Tommy came along too – albeit reluctantly.”
The couple met with Brad, who said little but brought plenty of TAIslim® liquid. “Brad asked us if we thought the Business would be worth anything if the products weren’t any good,” Tommy relates. “Tammy and I both agreed that was a recipe for failure. He then asked if we had any physical goals we wanted to accomplish. Both of us admitted that we would love to feel better and thought that losing a few pounds might help. Brad then gave us some product and said to call him in a week. That was it. Tammy wanted to hear about the numbers but he said it could wait until next time.”
The couple headed home, followed the instructions, and immediately began to drink TAIslim. “I strictly adhered to the plan because I was dead set on proving Brad wrong. I knew he would ask if I took the product right, so I made sure I did. However, I didn’t change my diet or exercise. I just took the product as directed. At the end of the week, Tammy and I invited Brad over to talk. It turned out that despite my stubbornness, I had lost 7 pounds in 5½ days. We knew he had something real.”
In the following months, the Rasmussens saw their health improve by leaps and bounds and their budding Business begin to take shape. “Our only regret looking back is that we stopped being fully engaged in the business for awhile after my dad passed away,” says Tammy. “It wasn’t just sadness or depression − part of the reason we slacked off is that I had a really cushy job. I didn’t like it at all, but it came with all the bells and whistles you would want so it was hard to leave. Mentally, I was done and ready to leave until Brad caught wind. ‘You cannot leave your job until you’re Ambassadors,’ Brad told me. That happened last February and I told him that I was leaving by the end of April no matter what. He said ‘then you had better be Ambassadors by then.’ Tommy and I did just that on April 22, 2011 and haven’t looked back since.”
The Ambassador Emeralds now have their sights on Ambassador II. Tommy, who is now about 45 pounds lighter than the day he first tried TAIslim explains, “From what we can tell, Marketing Executives who make Ambassador II stay with the Company and achieve all their long-term business goals. We are close enough that there is no looking back now. We love what we do and are overjoyed to make a life of it. We will have that Ambassador II title by Elevate, at the latest.”
