New Year’s resolutions are easy to make, but are often difficult to stick to. One of the most common resolutions is to lose weight. 1. Write it down. The surest way to commit to something is to get it down on paper. Try writing down your resolution(s) and posting the list where you will see it each day. Your bathroom mirror is always a good spot.
2. Enlist a partner. Who says that your resolution must be yours and yours alone? Find a family member or a close friend with a similar goal and keep one another on track throughout the year. Accountability is key and sharing the experience will help keep you accountable.
3. Celebrate the journey. A good resolution can last an entire year or beyond. Reward yourself each month you stick to your plan. Once the year is up, throw yourself a little party to recognize your great achievement. You may even inspire others to live up to their resolutions!
