A big part of being successful on the TAIslim 90 Day Challenge is making little improvements to your routine, such as using your lunch break to get in some exercise. Doctors concur that exercising for 3o minutes a day makes a big difference in pursuing a healthy lifestyle. Instead of hopping in your car to grab an unhealthy fast-food meal, here are few things you can do to help lose weight, improve your fitness, and even alleviate workplace stress:

Bring Your Sneakers

Stepping out of the office for a brisk walk can do wonders. It can be fun to try different routes and see how long it takes. Over time, you will improve. And who knows? If you walk consistently enough, those noontime walks may transition into jogs and eventually runs.

Visit the Gym

If you have a gym close to your office, go in with a pre-scripted workout. Try circuit training with weights to keep your heart rate up, or just do a solid 30 minutes of cardio. Reinvent your routine regularly to challenge your body. You will be surprised how fast you see results.

Hit the Stairs

During lunchtime, you can hit the stairs at your office building. Thirty minutes of climbing stairs burns 300 calories, but that’s pretty intense. You may choose to do a little less stair-climbing during lunch, but take the stairs instead of the elevator throughout the workday.

Like any other exercise regimen, the key to the lunchtime workout is commitment. And, one good way to strengthen that commitment is to find exercise buddies. Think about starting a lunchtime walking club.

Noontime exercise can help those of us with sedentary jobs both physically and mentally. So, take in some fast exercise, instead of fast food. Your Challenge results will show it.

Before starting any exercise program, it is advisable to consult a physician.
