With pro football’s opening weekend behind us, we saw some memorable performances turned in by FreeLife® Family members who competed on the gridiron. Antonio Smith and Eric Wright contributed to their teams’ victories. Antonio did some damage for Houston with three tackles, one of them a fumble-causing quarterback sack. Eric was solid in coverage for Detroit with six solo tackles.

While not all FreeLifers who took the field tasted victory, each provided noteworthy performances. Veteran wide receiver Steve Smith was a human highlight reel for Carolina with 8 catches, 178 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Robert Meacham was outstanding as well for New Orleans with 5 catches for 70 yards, one of them a leaping, 31-yard touchdown grab over a defender. The opposing quarterback shied away from St. Louis’ Ronald Bartell all day, as the savvy cornerback finished with 1 tackle and only 1 reception against him. And, Ryan Clark was one of Pittsburgh’s only solid defensive performers on Sunday, registering  6 solid tackles, one of them saving a touchdown. Miami linebacker Karlos Dansby was the last of the group to take the field, registering 5 tackles against New England on Monday night.
