It’s fascinating to watch what’s going on right now in FreeLife. In the first quarter of 2011, we are seeing exciting growth in enrollments, product sales, Star Directors, and title advancements. Taking a bird’s eye view of all the Leaders in FreeLife, I can tell you that one of the major factors fueling this growing momentum is Leaders, at all titles, becoming Brilliant at the Basics.
The basics are the required activities that make it possible for your Business’s momentum to explode. These are the activities you must engage in consistently each week. Experience has shown that how well we know the basics is not nearly as important as how good we are at implementing them. In other words, it’s not that we need to be experts in products or ingredients, the Compensation Plan, or what to say to people. What’s important is to engage in the basics every day. Only then can you obtain the knowledge, experience, and results you desire. You earn while you learn in FreeLife. If we believe we need to know it all to become Brilliant at the Basics before doing them, our Business becomes like a ship anchored at port, never experiencing the beauty of an open sea.
We all desire to experience the open sea, and putting the basics into practice is like pulling up the anchor and setting sail. Like a captain wanting to reach his final destination, becoming Brilliant at the Basics allows us to take our Business where we want it to go.
1. Help new Marketing Executives get started the right way based on their goals. Like a captain who asks his passengers where they want to go, we must uncover the goals of every new Marketing Executive (ME) we enroll. Regardless of whether a new ME wants to lose weight or earn income, experience shows the most effective and economical solution is to enroll as an AC100 ME and purchase a Quick Start Pack or Pro Pack. Once enrolled, our responsibility as the Enroller is to begin planting the necessary seeds of independence as the ME travels toward success. 2. Experience the products every day. History shows new MEs have the greatest excitement and passion about our products and opportunity during the first 48-72 hours of enrolling. During this time, it’s important they begin experiencing our products. Whether we’ve been in the business 48 months or 48 hours, experiencing the products produces results. Results increase our belief. And it’s belief that inspires us to talk to people and share our story with confidence and credibility.
3. Complete the Fundamentals of Success. As a captain takes passengers to exciting new destinations, Fundamental of Success (FOS) is a road map for the journey every ME takes in reaching his/her final destination. When an ME makes a decision to build a FreeLife Business, our responsibility is to walk that person through the FOS training within the first 48-72 hours. The FOS road map helps new MEs specify their purpose, set goals according to specific times, and determine how much time they’ll be able to work their new opportunity. Without this road map, new MEs have the potential of getting lost in the seas of life and will ultimately fail in reaching their final destination.
4. Conduct a Grand Opening. One of the most important responsibilities we have as captains is to help every new ME take action with getting his/her Business started. One of the very best ways is to help the new ME set a date and time to conduct a business grand opening. A grand opening, often done in the ME’s home or the home of a Team Member, represents a relaxing and comfortable way to introduce the products and opportunity to neighbors, friends, and family.
5. Achieve Star Director in the first full calendar month. Another important responsibility is to assist all new MEs enrolled in our Business to achieve Star Director in their first full calendar month. We must assist them in building their foundation by helping them enroll three AC100 MEs each with a Quick Start Pack or Pro Pack within their first full calendar month. Our goal is not to do it for them, but do it alongside them. When their foundation of three is reached, we move toward the next goal of teaching them how to help each of those three MEs to do the same. With this completed, the new MEs have learned one of the most important concepts of our business – duplication.
Onboard the USS Kitty Hawk on June 1963, President John F. Kennedy said “Events indicated, as they had all through history, that control of the sea means security, peace, and victory…” As we continue steering our FreeLife ship into 2011 and beyond, I’ll echo Kennedy’s words by saying, “Becoming Brilliant at the Basics indicates, as it has in the past, we’ll achieve security, peace, and victory in building our FreeLife Business.” God Bless.
