What does it take to become a Royal Ambassador in FreeLife? Gratitude and love.

Dear Friends,
In my closing comments at Success School, I shared some thoughts regarding the Royal Ambassador “mindset.” What does it take to become a Royal Ambassador in FreeLife? I would like to share those thoughts with you in this letter.

First of all, it takes an enormous amount of gratitude. The more grateful you are for the things you have, the more grateful things you bring into your life. Albert Einstein, one of the greatest scientists who ever lived, said this when asked about his monumental achievements:
“A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.”
Think about that for a moment, Albert Einstein giving thanks “a hundred times every day.” If you want more money, be grateful for the money you already have. If you want better health, be grateful for the health you already have.

Meister Eckhart, a Christian writer and theologian, and Muhammad, the founder of Islam, had this to say about gratitude:
“If the only prayer you say in your entire life is – ‘thank you’ – that is enough.”  − Meister Eckhart (1260-1328)

“Gratitude for the abundance you have received is the best insurance that the abundance will continue.”− Muhammad (570-632)

Be grateful for everything you have received in the past. Be grateful for everything you have right now. Do you have two legs? Do you have two arms? Can you talk? Can you walk? Can you see? Can you hear?

We take these things for granted every day, yet tens of millions of people around the world are far less fortunate than we are.

How many of us take for granted the loved ones we see each and every day? Let people know you love them, tell them how great they are, let them know you are grateful for them. Let Marketing Executives in your Organization know you care about them and that you are here to serve them.

Lutheran Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer stated:
“In ordinary life, we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.”

Do you realize what amazing times we live in today? Everything is so amazing right now, yet so many people are still not happy. When I grew up, I had a white rotary phone in our kitchen. One phone in the whole house that you had to stand next to and you had to dial it to create sparks to connect the call. You know how primitive that is? And if someone had a 0 in their number, you would hate it because you had to dial all the way around. And if someone had two 0s, you really hated it! Now you’ve got people who go crazy when their cell phone won’t connect immediately! Come on, give it a second, that signal is going to a satellite in space and back to earth! It may take a second or two!

I remember when I was growing up and we needed money and there were no such things as ATMs. I would have to go to the bank with my dad. It was only open for about three hours a day. We’d have to wait in line, which usually took about 15 minutes since everyone was trying to get their money before the bank closed. Then he had to write a check and finally get the money. But what if you ran out of money during the week and banks were closed? You just couldn’t buy anything. Some “richer” people had a new thing called credit cards (we didn’t). But even with a credit card, it was a big deal to use it as they had to run the card through a huge metal machine and then call the credit card company to get authorization.

I’m on a plane right now writing this and it reminds me that so many people come back from flights and have a horror story. “We boarded 25 minutes late and then we had to sit in the runway for 30 more minutes.”

But think about what happened next. You flew in the air like a bird! You experienced the miracle of human flight! You sat in a comfortable chair, going 500 mph, enjoyed a good book, and you were home. What’s to complain about? Back in 1955, my parents took a boat from Europe to immigrate to the United States and it took three weeks in stormy seas! That same trip now takes about six hours!

Here’s a great quote from Fredrick Langbridge:
“Two men looked out from prison bars, one saw the mud, the other saw the stars.”
Here is another great quote, this time from Harold Abbott:

“I had the blues because I had no shoes. Until upon the street, I met a man who had no feet.”

If you want to be successful, if you want to be happy, focus on the 90 percent that is right in your life. Don’t focus on the 10 percent that is not right. Don’t focus on the Marketing Executives in your group who are not motivated. Remember, your job is not to motivate anyone; it is simply to work with the motivated. If you work with the motivated and support them, and focus on the 90 percent that is right in your life and your business, you will be well on your way to success.

Back in 1985, I spent four months studying in London. In many of the Cromwellian churches in England, you’ll find the following words inscribed: “Think and Thank.” Think about all we have to be grateful for and Thank God for these wonderful gifts.

Think about our incredible timing. There is a weight loss epidemic around the world with no healthy, viable long-term solution until we came along with the TAIslim Total Body System. Think about what kind of opportunity that means for everyone in the FreeLife Family! We have a scientifically validated, delicious- tasting, results-producing program that we can take around the world!

In the U.S. alone, it’s a $70 billion industry and growing rapidly. What if we capture just 1 percent of that market over the next five years? That’s close to
$1 billion here alone! That is something to think about and give thanks for!

Think about our lucrative Compensation Plan − the most lucrative in Direct Selling! Nothing even comes close. Just think about the Service Pool. Do you realize the earning potential of just that part of our Plan?

I looked back at average earnings of each pool during the last three months of 2010, and here’s what I found. For those who earned at least $1 above the minimum, the averages were as follows:

                                        Average Service Pool Bonus

Star Director II – V Pool          $541

Ambassador Pool                    $1,634

Ambassador II Pool               $5,190

And these are just the averages for the Service Pool alone! So give thanks for our Compensation Plan and for our Service Pool!

The second key to becoming a Royal Ambassador is LOVE! The power to have all the positive and good things in life is love! Priest and philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin had this to say about love:

“Love is the most powerful and still most unknown energy in the world.”

The more you give, the more you will get in life. What you give, you receive.
Give help and support to a Marketing Executive and surely that help and support will return to you with lightning speed. Give anger or resentment to someone and that anger and resentment will return back to you in full.

You are really a magnet. Whatever you give out, you get back.

I think my favorite quote of all time is from the Bible:

“Give and it will be given to you . . . for by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”
− Luke 6:38

The best book I read in 2010 was The Power by Rhonda Byrne. This book is filled with inspiring information on many of the ideas in this letter. I have two separate book groups that have been studying this book. I highly recommend this book.
I want you to know that Kevin and I love each and every one of you so much and look forward to making 2011 our greatest year ever!

With love and gratitude,
