You can capture significant momentum in the first quarter by taking inventory of where your business actually is.
As we step into 2011, I want to share some thoughts about how to set the right course of direction for your business so you experience the tremendous success in store for you this year. I firmly believe our vision to become “The Worldwide Leader in Healthy Weight Loss,” along with a richly abundant Compensation Plan plus a collection of professional marketing tools, will continue opening doors of opportunity for all involved with FreeLife.
All Leaders in FreeLife have the same opportunity in front of them. However, we must begin the year with the right perspective, which is why the first weeks of 2011 are extremely important. I’ve found the best way to capture significant momentum in the first quarter of the New Year is to take inventory during the first few weeks of January to determine where our business actually is. Using a few important gauges to determine our business altitude not only provides perspective, it will in large measure set the course for the entire year.
So why are gauges important and what are they? As the Leader of your business, you must know:
- Where your business momentum is at all times
- What business gauges are being applied within your Organization
- Where the momentum of your Leaders is at all times
- Which Leaders are on the same course you’re heading
Just like airline pilots use gauges on their instrument panels to fly at high altitudes and sound-breaking speed, effective Leaders use gauges to maximize business growth and set a right course of action. Every engaged business has a Leader who realizes that achieving results is never accidental. When you understand and utilize the right gauges, you’re giving yourself and others proper guidance as everyone sets forth achieving their 2011 goals.
So what are the gauges? Listed below are the most important ones to pay attention to:
- Number of contacts made each day
- Number of marketing tools handed out in exchange for name, phone number/email for follow-up.
- Number of 3-way calls conducted or prospects on recruiting calls
- Number of new qualified prospects added to your list
- Number of new appointments you have scheduled
- Number of presentations you conducted on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
- Number of referrals received
- Number of new Personally Enrolled AC100 Marketing Executives (MEs)
- Number of new Personally Enrolled AC100 ME Quick Start Packs and Pro Packs sold
- Number of new Personally Enrolled Star Directors
- Number of new personal Star Directors developed in 5 enrollment levels
- Amount of Daily Pay earned
- Number of points in the Service Pool
Leaders who understand and apply these important gauges will accomplish great things in 2011. Now, you may be thinking, “Kevin, this is all well and good, but I am only one. How do I maximize the speed of my business in 2011 with just me?” That’s a great question. Let me tell you how.
While I firmly believe that every Leader must set the pace of activity for others to follow, our ultimate goal is to multiply the use of the gauges through other Leaders in our business. So we must ask “Where do I find these other Leaders?” That answer is pretty simple — you won’t find them, they’ll show up! They’ll show up on your conference calls, on your voice mail, on your back office reports, in the Service Pool, at your local events, and at January’s Success School. You see, discovering who the Leaders are in your business doesn’t have to be mysterious. You’ll find them by taking inventory of your business because they’ll be clearly apparent within your gauges. In fact, when you monitor these gauges on a regular, daily basis, you’ll discover the ignition switch to the duplication and momentum of your business.
You will be able to overcome any situation you’ll face in reaching your 2011 goals by taking inventory of your business and applying the gauges! That’s why a daily diet of good old-fashioned “gauge discipline,” plus developing Leaders, becomes imperative if you are to reach your goals in 2011.
We are in such a magnificent position for accomplishing great and mighty things in 2011.
